The xuixa is a cylindrical-shaped pastry that is filled with cream in the center - an excellent dessert or snack food. The botifarra dol is a type of soft, sweet sausage. Chocolates are also aplenty that depict features and characteristics of the town itself and are inspired by the legends of Girona . Wines, especially the cava , are signature items of Catalonia, so visitors should make sure to grab at least a bottle (or crate!).
